James is a native South Carolinian. He and his wife, Jan, have been happily married for over 35 years now. His daughter, Grace, formerly danced with the Cincinnati Ballet. She is married and the mother of 3 beautiful little girls. His son, James, graduated from The Citadel and now plays baseball in the New York Yankees organization.
